So Im writing a blog as a kind of introduction to the world of parachute jumping and skydiving.
Aswell as finding interesting, funny, and always inspiring video clips, I want to explore the many different reasons why people decided to do/take up parachute jumping and/or skydiving.
So I tweeted asking my followers some of the reason why people decided to take up parachute jumping and skydiving, and I got a few responses.
One person called Terry said he did a jump because it was on his bucket list and is up for trying anything once. He also added that it was great adrenaline rush but over far too quick!
I find that comment very interesting, as through my research online, I've found various blogs on the topic of jumps and skydives, with the most common reasons seeming to be that people do it as they haven't done it before, as something to tick off their bucket list, perhaps.
I can see the exciting element of it, as your going out of your comfort zone, which can be exciting and a new challenge, but also scary at the same time if you've never done it before, like myself!
I found the UK Skydiving Adventures website which shows you all the available options on how to carry out a tandem skydive or parachute jumping, whether your jumping for charity or yourself

I also know its a popular choice to raise money for charity aswell as gaining a new experience. Its usually a charity close to that person's heart, e.g. I know a local charity to me Against Breast Cancer, many of their supporters and people who choose to jump or do another event for them, either know someone whos had breast cancer or been closely affected.
The charity run parachute jumps + skydives,

From what I've seen so far on my journey to explore this world, these are the 2 main reasons why people choose to take part.
If anyone has any other reasons, do send me a message on my Facebook page Naomi_18 or tweet me at Parachute_jump , id be happy to hear from you as Im really keen to find out more about this interesting activity, and hobby to some!
